A Boardman woman is charged with child endangering after an incident in October left her three-month-old son with a fractured skull.
Tamakia Bellard, 34, was indicted on two felonious endangering children charges on Thursday.
According to the police report, Bellard's three-month-old son was taken to Akron Children's hospital of Boardman with a depressed skull fracture and several brain bleeds on October 19.
Bellard told police she placed her son on a small children's table unsecured in his car seat. Bellard said she had to run upstairs, so she left her son and two-year-old daughter alone in the kitchen. When Bellard heard a loud thud noise she ran downstairs and saw her son lying on the ground face down.
Bellard told police she believed that her daughter attempted to pick up her son and then dropped him.
The police report mentions there had been a previous investigation at the same residence in 2017 involving another child.
In that incident, Bellard's daughter had stopped breathing and it was discovered that she had oxycodone in her blood.
