YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

Police have released the identity of a body found in an SUV behind a house on the south side of Youngstown Wednesday night.

Investigators say 40-year-old Nimala Alamin had been shot.  Although the coroner has not made a ruling in the case, police are treating the case as a homicide.

Officers were called out before 7 pm Wednesday to an abandoned vehicle in the backyard of a home on the 2800 block of Rush Boulevard.

Inside the black Cadillac SUV, police said they found Alamin's body.

The vehicle was taken to be processed as evidence.
