Game of Thrones Quiz: Are You a Cersei, Jon Snow, or Daenerys When It Comes to Work?

Posted:

Cersei Lannister figured her state-of-the-art castle walls would repel any invader and she was right for a few hundred years.

However, like many modern companies that rely on physical security in a digital world, Cersei didn’t figure on new technology. In her case, the new technology are dragons.

Ask anyone at Marriott, Facebook or Equifax if they would rather have dealt with a deranged Targaryen blond riding a 200-foot long, napalm-breathing monster around their headquarters for a couple of days or a massive hack that left hundreds of millions of customers clutching their wallets after their personal data was hacked, as was the case with Marriot. Bring on the dragons.

But how do you think the Game of Thrones characters would respond to a modern-day emergency at work? Answer below to find out which character you most closely align with.

  • A – Ask that they please don’t do that again 1 point
  • B Fire them immediately, an example must be set. Drown your sorrows in some Dornish wine 2 points
  • C Toss them from the castle walls, kill every member of their family 3 points

2. A computer hacker is demanding $10 million in Bitcoin after stealing the names, addresses and Social Security numbers of thousands of your customers. What do you do?

  • A Escort him to the break room and make some coffee 1 Pt
  • B Loan him some clothes and call for help. Take some photos first, they might come in handy one day 2Pts
  • C A little mild torture is in order. Does he really need all those fingers? 3 Pts

4. A rival company has hired a gang of Siberian hackers to take down your company. What do you do?

  • A Fly to Siberia. Enlist the hackers to your side 1 Pt
  • B Contact the rival company. Might be time to jump ship 2 Pts
  • C How long will it take the dragons to get to Siberia? 3 Pts

5. A YouTuber with 5 million followers is about to reveal the names and compensation rates for your top executives. What do you do?

  • A Go on his show and explain the situation 1 Pt
  • B Locate some incriminating evidence on the YouTuber 2 Pts
  • C What YouTuber? That nice young man disappeared. Apparently, he was eaten by a dragon. Very sad story. 3 Pts

Scores

  • 5 7 Points: You are a young Jon Snow. Great to work with, maybe a little too easygoing, but always up for a night out with the lads.
  • 8 12 Points: There’s a bit of the Tyrion and Varys about you. Compromise, yes, but always looking out for No. 1.
  • 13 15 Points: Late stage Daenerys with a dash of Cersei here. Seriously, get some help.
