Homeland Security Foundation of America (HSFA) announces it will host the 2nd Annual Financial Literacy and Small Business Awards Conference this month in Atlanta, Georgia.
Atlanta, GA, June 11, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Today, the Homeland Security Foundation of America (HSFA) Office of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced it will host the 2nd Annual Financial Literacy and Small Business Awards Conference with community partner RichBoi Investments LLC on June 22, 2019, from 9am – 5pm at the Sheraton Suites Galleria-Atlanta, located 2844 Cobb Pkwy SE, Atlanta, GA 30339, to have a discussion on financial literacy and entrepreneurial awareness.
“No matter the economy, people still grapple with budgeting and finance at home and in business,” said Eric Brown, President, HSFA. “Financial literacy helps people understand the value of budgeting, saving, planning for retirement and avoiding financial risks.”
HSFA officials confirmed Terrance Smalls, Owner of Good Credit Pros, will be the featured speaker for this year’s conference. Smalls has been a driving force of bringing financial literacy to the community for nearly a decade. With his motto “Credit is Power” he educates families on the importance of using credit to obtain financial stability.
“Collaboration beats competition,” said Brain Joubert, CEO, L and B Tax Service, Inc. and Richboi Investments, LLC. “The information our speakers and presenters have to share is extremely valuable. We’re proud to partner with HSFA to expand our reach and bring financial literacy messaging to more people in the community.”
Joubert is scheduled to present at the conference along with others, including best-selling author, Tarra Jackson, Renault Ross, Chief Cybersecurity Business Strategist, Symantec, Rhonda Jones, Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and empowerment expert and leadership consultant, Nicholas Dillon.
The organization will honor and present awards to Melvin Coleman, President & CEO of Essential Wealth Management Group, LLC, Robert Pack, The Pack Foundation, Michael Stephens, Topp Cuttaz Barber Salon, DeSean Cagnolatti, Keith Cryer and Theo Bias, The Daiquiri Shoppe, and world renown motivational speaker, Eric Thomas.
This conference is open to the public. Admission is $150; however, HSFA officials say the organization will work with students and individuals with low income to subsidize the cost of admission.
